Rental Guidelines

 

Rental periods:
Minimum Rate - 4 hrs, or 1 day, depending on equipment

Overnight Rate 4:00 PM to 8:30 AM the next morning with no more than 4 hrs run time

Day Rate - 24 hrs from time of pick-up with no more than 8 hrs on metered items

Week Rate - 7 consecutive days with no more than 40 hrs on metered items

4 Week Rate - 4 consecutive weeks with no more than 160 hrs on metered items

 

NOTE:   RENT IS CHARGED FOR ALL TIME EQUIPMENT IS OFF THE RENTAL YARD NOT FOR ACTUAL OPERATING TIME UNDER THE ALLOWED RUN TIME ON THE CONTRACT. FOR EXAMPLE: IF AN ITEM IS OFF THE YARD FOR A WEEK BUT ONLY HAS ONE HOUR ON THE METER, IT WILL BE CHARGED A WEEK RENTAL.

Policies and Tips

 

Metered Items:
Rates for rental items equipped with hour meters are based on 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and 160 hours per month.  Additional usage will be charged accordingly.

Identification:
A valid driver’s license is required for ALL rentals and major credit card will be required as forms of identification.

Delivery and Pick-up:
Delivery and pick up are available at reasonable rates.  The first 5 miles, is flat rate $35. After that, it is $3 per mile.  Please call for the full charge to your specific location.  All rental items should be gathered in a single location convenient for pick up.  If you prefer, you may pick up and return your rental items to our store location.

Damages:
Rental items lost, damaged, or stolen will be assessed at a reasonable replacement cost on the rental contract.  

Payment Methods:
Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, Cash and Local Checks are accepted.

Security Deposit:

No cash up front is required.  On the front end of a rental, an authorization will be run on the provided credit or debit card for twice the rental amount.  Example: If you plan to rent a machine for a 1 day time period, authorization will be for a 2 day time period.  It is common for projects to run longer than planned or to have unexpected damage on the equipment.  This is the purpose of the extra authorization.  If a credit or debit card is not available, a signed local blank check will be sufficient for a rental deposit.  Regardless of deposit type, at the end of the rental, payment by cash is gladly accepted.

Long Term Rentals:

Rentals scheduled to last longer than 1 week will need to be prepaid.  If the rental term needs to be extended longer than the original week or month that was scheduled, advance payment for the next week of the month will be required at that time.

Rental Term Extensions:

If a job goes longer than planned, please call to notify Central Rental of the change in schedule. 

Cancellation:
No penalties will be assessed on cancellations done up to 24 hours before the reserved time for pick up or delivery.

Responsibility:
Responsibility for rental items remains with the customer from delivery to return.  All items should be secured and protected from the weather.  Additional charges for replacements are made for missing or damaged items.

Note:

These policies do not supersede what is stipulated in the signed rental contract.
